According to the rules of the 2009 Convention Bob McDonnell is the only candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor.
At the Lieutinant Governor level- sitting LG Bill Bolling is running for reelection. He faces a challenge from Alexandria lawyer Patrick Muldoon.
There are three candidates for Attorney General. State Senator Ken Cuccinelli from Fairfax County, former Arlington School Board Chairman Dave Foster, and former U.S. Attorney for Western District of VA John Brownlee of Roanoke.
There is a special election on Feb. 3rd in Fairfax County. Pat Herrity, Current Springfield District Supervisor, is running to fill the at-large county chairman seat vacated by newly elected Congressman Gerry Connolly.
There are five house of delegates seats in Prince William. Four of Five are occupied by Republican Delegates- three of those are announced for reelection. In the 13th District (Western Prince William, most of Gainesville and Brenstville) Delegate Bob Marshall is seeking reelection. In Manassas, Manassas Park, and western Prince William, Jackson Miller is seeking reelection to the 50th HOD seat. And in Central and Eastern Prince William and Faquier, Gulf War veteran Scott Lingamfelter seeks another tour of duty in Richmond.
Delegate Jeff Frederick is not seeking reelection in the 52nd District (Woodbridge and Dumfries). One candidate exploring a run is Rafael Lopez, a former Dumfries Town Councilman.
In the 51st HOD district, currently occupied by Democrat Paul Nichols, there is no set candidate.
We will be announcing the methods that each of these districts is choosing their nominee as they are set.
Take a look at the handy spreadsheet to get a feel for the way the election broke down in the county.

Tuesday October 21st we'll lay the election smack down at the GOP HQ on the Prince William Parkway. We'll make phone calls to drive up volunteer support for election day and the next two weekends. It will be a blast. Phone banking is easy and just a couple of hours of your time tomorrow night will make a huge difference. Some of us will be there from 5 p.m. on- try to get there by 7 p.m. for 2 full hours of work.
At 9 p.m. we'll head on over to a local establishment called the Queen's Gambit for a drink and a bite. The QG is a well known karaoke bar, and you don't have to sing, but Ali, Bryan, and Robert have all promised to sing their hearts out. Ali will sing one request from everyone who comes out to phone bank. He hopes most will request he does not sing. Email pwyrclub@gmail.com with any questions and to let us know you'll be there.
